I am directed by Mr. Secretary Eden to transmit for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies a copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Ambassador at Chungking on the subject of relief work among students of Hong Kong University who have escaped to Free China.

2. I am to request that, if Viscount Cranborne sees no objection, a copy of Dr. Gordon King's report may be transmitted to Sir Geoffry Northcote, formerly Governor of Hong Kong. duplicate of the report is enclosed for this purpose.
